The Sea Organ in Zadar Croatia made by architect Nikola Bašić. Recorded Spring 2009. The Sea organ is an architectural object located in Zadar, Croatia and an experimental musical instrument which plays music by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps. The waves push air through the mechanism to create these sounds 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Recorded with an MZ-N707 Sony Mini Disk Recorder and a ECM-DS70P Sony Stereo Microphone. Nice to hear this again. What's very mysterious is that when I was residing in a nearby town I could swear I heared this thing at night, even though it's pretty far apart.
