Recording to test the self noise of the new Zoom H4n handy recorder. 20db gain was applied to the recording which was with external mics selected, but nothing plugged in. Compare with the file H4SelfNoise http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=56641. It looks as though Zoom have sorted the whine and glitch problems of the H4, and there are numerous most welcome new features in this recorder.
