Herring Gulls calling in their daily territorial disputes. This was recorded from my bedroom window at 5 AM this morning. These calls are heard all through the summer. Some of my neighbours unfortunately let the birds nest on their roofs. Zoom H4 WAV recorder.

thanks! i will use these in a play, i especially like this recording because there are no clear ocean sounds. (the play mentions gulls in a city far away from sea)

Lovely work. Thank you. I'll use it on a community radio program as I begin an interview with a painter with Parkinson's disease who lives by the ocean.

I'd love to use this in a bit of sound design for a play in Dallas. Perfect to isolate a little gull flying overhead every now and then in the scene.
