Impulse responses are sounds used in convolution reverbs to simulate the acoustics of a place or piece of equipment. Basically it is a snapshot of the echo, reverberation, and frequency characteristics effect on a sound to paint onto recordings to make them sound like they were recorded somewhere else.

I've been looking and listening to some of your sounds. Please excuse what may be an ignorant question, but what is an impulse response?
