Sound of a large earthquake. Inspired by the Canterbury earthquakes in New Zealand.

This is a fictional earthquake made with individually recorded rumbling, banging, and shaking sounds from various household objects.

Kia Ora! I'm a film student in Christchurch. I wan't here for the big quakes but this is quite close to the vibe of the ones I've been in. Possibly could do with a lower rumble element as well.

Hi DiggidyDelRio, this is recorded on a Zoom H1. The bulk of the sound is the vibration of a kitchen counter and a wall by drumming the surface using my hands. There are also plastic boxes being dropped (if my memory serves me right, a box of pencils and also an aluminium container with Jenga blocks in). Thanks for taking interest.

Thanks for shaking a bag of legos around in your laptop mic.
