A Plan V EMU from NS pulling into Blaak station. While stopping, a modern VIRM EMU from NS crosses in the opposite direction at full speed. Then Plan V leaves. I'm pleased with this recording because Plan-V EMU's are to be replaced after 40 years of reliable service. This a bit like recording history. Recorded on Sunday morning December 7th, 2009; at Blaak station in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Blaak is an underground mainline station so a good place for recording trains regardless of weather conditions. However, trains moving through tunnels generate airwaves that the microphones have difficulties coping with. Sony PCM-D50
