A friend of my has a Honda Fireblade with 170 horsepower. I put my microphone stands at the street and recorded his bike driving over 200 km/h passing me.

It is also possibly that there are some issues with reflextions from my car, which was parking on the left side of the microphonestands. So this could cause some confusing effects. I will do it better the next time. Then i will put the car BETWEEN the microphones :)

But I should have said: nice sound quality, and not clipped like bike2.

It´s just an so called AB (timeshift) recording with Omni - mics. Because of missing magnitude differences, it sounds a little bit diffuse. This is unfortunalty characteristic for that kind of recording. On the other hand, there is no proximity effect and you have an optimum of low frequency reproduction. I prefer this by doing ambience recordings.

Is it my ears? I have problems with the apparent direction of travel. The main section goes R to L, but there seem to be some conflicting sections.
