F-18 fighter plane Fly-bys at Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, airport and Fairbairn Royal Australian Air Force Base, circa 2008.
Field recording experiment with Panasonic digital voice recorder about 500 to 750 meters from the closest flight path.
Turbine whine can be heard over the jet blast at one point early in the clip. Plenty of wind noise rumble and some crowd ambience may be heard. Bass boosted in Audacity to recover poorly recorded bass chest pounding roar and rumble of the F-18 in real life.
Flight path mainly left to right, then right to left, each followed by vertical climbs with afterburner blazing.
