Noise of an underwater source. Water and gas coming from under makes the sound for bubbles. It was designed and custom crafted for the earth+wind+fire+water - thefree-soundproject - Computer Music competition. A heavily modified modular software synthesizer was used to generate it. No parts of any recording was used. All generated from simple waveforms with a synthesizer with parallel oscillators running independently. Has heavy post-processing on it to make it sound more like what it is supposed to be. Crafted for your pleasure so, enjoy! Batuhan Bozkurt

I used this sound in the third story of a trio of flash pieces, "The Drowner" for Pseudopod, the audio horror fiction podcast, available here:

the lows created by the waveform are so much warmer than any similar recording I've heard but it's still totally concrete. kudos!
