I think you should be attributing, it is so easy.

"if you use the files you need to attribute the creator of the file (i.e. say who made it). "
i thought he didn't have to. because of the CCL it meant we gave these sounds for anyone to use for any reason without permission or acknowledgment. Though it would be Very nice to do.
I have used freesound.org on a project that payed me. I sought no need to acknowledge the creator of the file. (being an arabic background noise for an afghan war-movie)
Unless i read the CCL wrong. then in which case, i need to thank said person. (i did rate and comment on his upload)
Regardless it would be a nice thing to do.
"You are free:
To sample, mash-up, or otherwise creatively transform this work for commercial or noncommercial purposes.
To perform, display, and distribute copies of this whole work for noncommercial purposes (e.g., file-sharing or noncommercial webcasting).
Under the following conditions:
You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).
You may not use this work to advertise for or promote anything but the work you create from it."
Yeah, a nice guy just gave me a heads-up on the CCL. Wasn't aware that I still needed to list credits.
Sorry for the confusion guys. A list will be up in the next week or so.
Also, it might be an idea to run a feature explaining the limits/credits that are still needed with the CCL for those of us that arn't that legal minded. Assuming there isn't one on here already, that is.
