It isn't my site, but I ran across it today. It Looks to me like they used every freesound sample that had a Geotag assigned:

dragging and pointing on the map displayed, and turning and scratching the record on a turntable ,the sound is mixed and play.
motives are a lot of influences for making, discovering, owning or listening music by the today internet and computer technology ,and thinking about where 'folklore' is going to be with the community of people record sounds in their own places ,and show them online. "
