C-o-l-o-u-r-s (www.c-o-l-o-u-r-s.com) is a new Internet music label, bringing you cutting-edge mainly electronic music, founded by Freesound member Jovica (aka Jovica Storer, Stojo or Joost Carpentier).
At startup we have the following four releases ready for download:
* Element by Jovica Storer & Geert Verbeke released on the Jovica Storer sublabel: an aural interpretation of the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal and water) with an extra 48 page PDF book full of haiku and photos by Geert Verbeke. The excellent electronic ambient music is accompanied by performances by Geert Verbeke on singing bowls and oil barrel.
* Electronic Innerscapes by Jovica Storer & Geert Verbeke release on the Jovica Storer sublabel: intimate electronic soundscapes accompanied by a 68 page haiku and photo book by Geert Verbeke
* Parabeat 01-13 by Parabeat released on his own Parabeats sublabel: 13 rhythmic experiments varying from electro over techno to dub.
* Rituals Volume One by Stojo on the Rituals sublabel: an album full of splendid 150 bpm trance. This music was created for a live act on the Psychedelic Gathering Festival (2002-8-1 & 2002-8-2 Tielt, Belgium).
In the next few weeks the following releases will be added:
* Caramel by Jovica Storer released on the Jovica Storer sublabel: more then 3 hours of sweet ambient music originally commissioned for the vernissage of the art exhibition 'gekarameliseerd' held September 2006 at 't Hof van Ryhove in Ghent, Belgium (Opinions of Art)
* Alpha Stimulation Volume One by Brainweaver to be release on the Brainwaves sublabel: relaxing trance music that stimulates alpha brain waves to chill out from a day full of beta-activity.
Later on this year we are planning the release of the music for the next art exhibition from Opinions of Art which will run during May 2007 at 't Hof van Ryhove in Ghent, Belgium and some excellent work from Lounasan.
Two new releases have been added to the http://www.c-o-l-o-u-r-s.com label:
- Alpha Stimulation Volume One by Brainweaver on the orange Brainwaves sublabel: 4 smooth trance trance tracks with embedded alpha brainwave stimulating frequencies, to induce relaxation.
- Mantra by Joost Carpentier on the blue Ambient sublabel: 4 ambient tales EP by the founder of c-o-l-o-u-r-s.
Just a message to tell the world that the prices for all releases on http://www.c-o-l-o-u-r-s.com have been lowered...
Caramel was just added to the yellow Jovica Storer sublabel on http://www.c-o-l-o-u-r-s.com/. Only 12.50 € for more than 3 hours of smooth electronic ambient coming in high quality 320 kbps MP3. Previews are provided. The music was originally commissioned for the vernissage of an art exhibition, held on 2006/09/09 in 't Hof van Ryhove in Ghent, Belgium. For more information about the next exhibition that will take place in May '07 on the same location, have a look at http://www.opinions-of-art.com/ (site in Dutch).
