Hi there, I am a part-time tracker musician (I use the Impulse Tracker format) who is tired of ripping samples from other peoples' modules. I find I am most in need of distorted guitar samples, as I plan on making four different instrument files in Impulse Tracker. I have searched the archives and even though I've found things that are similar to what I'm looking for, I still haven't found the proper samples yet. I'll explain more as follows
First off, I'd like a punk or pop-punk style guitar (think of the heavier riffs in, say, Green Day or Avril Lavigne songs...solid and crunchy but not as heavy as thrash metal.) This should come as six power chords (in the notes C4, E4, C5, E5, C6 and E6...perhaps substitute whatever you see as the best "middle" note of the octave for instead of E,) and six muted chords (in the same notes as the power chords.) I will turn these into a power chords instrument using the 6 power chords samples, and a muted instrument using the six muted samples.
I would also like an extremely heavy, thrash metal-style guitar, both power chords and muted (same notes as above, twelve samples total.) Check out this guitar loop to hear a good idea of what I'm looking for. Sort of like Dope or Metallica (and many, MANY other hardcore metal bands...too many to name.) I will make these samples into two separate instruments as well.
Be sure to mention the data about the guitar you're using, and the name you want to be credited as. I will definitely credit you in the notes section of my module songs. Also, please try to keep each sample under 10kb, even if this means making them 8-bit and cutting them short...though the power chords need to be able to loop as seamlessly as possible. It would also be great if you could include both the small filesize, optimized samples and the original high-quality ones.
If you have any questions please ask me! I'm all ears.

Still no replies? I wonder what I'm doing wrong here. Can someone tell me?
Nah, you're doing nothing wrong, it can just take a while, people may be on summer vacation, they need to take the time to record, if necessary, process, upload and then the files need to go through moderation.
I would advice you to ask this also at ccMixter, that site's more aimed at musical sounds than Freesound is, so you may have better luck there. Some sounds may already be in their database too.

Hey thanks!
