Hello everyone..
I'm in big concern because I can't get a good vocal sample of a short piece I wrote. Is there someone capable of doing a theatrical vocal sample of this poem:
"...that's more than I would risk to say I guess..
been there, done that plenty of times..
..'cause no matter what people say, it doesn't matter.
things always turn out to be as they should be you know..
as for myself.. I would rather get in trouble for a thing that is worth the ride.
..or else I would just be fussing about right?
I'm not one to be playing around but still..
..who am I after all?
people say they can't live their lives without a sense of notions..
..what about'em?
there's no more than half a dozen loops I can play with...
..these are the loops I'm living.
..a loop for the road ahead
..and a loop for the way back.
..these are the loops most people never had.
..one loop that I'm breathing
and a loop for the reasons why..
..sleepwalking while I'm daydreaming
..that's when dreams never shine too bright
nothing but a circular notion in the head..
..that's what a loop is all about
a saucerful of notions you see?..
still..
..not enough loops to play the track of my life.."
I am looking for an old, slow-paced, male voice to say this. It shouldn't be sang, or over enthusiastic, it's meant to be in sort of an usual conversation, but still a monologue.
Help?
Thanks
OK - I had a go at this using a new piece of software (Adobe Soundbooth - lots of interesting tools for voice work).

Hey!
In first place, thanks a lot for giving it a try.
It sounds really neat, I like the accent and the voice itself. Still, it's fastpaced and not as dramatic as I would like. I'm thinking of sort of a meditation narrative, saying it slowly, like as if you're thinking carefully on what you're saying, and pausing here and there. Do you think you can manage that?
I'm looking forward to hear it
Cheers!
Yeah, that's it - meditative. Do you know Pink Floyd? Sure you do Anyway, like the intro to the dark side of the moon album, that guy saying "there's no dark side of the moon really.. matter of fact it's all dark".. for example!
That's the way I'm looking for I hope the hint works!
Thanks a lot for trying!
Yes I know of Pink Floyd and the song - but I'm not familiar with the intro!
Anyways, took another stab at it, slower, a little more dramatic......
