Hi all,
I need some extra sounds for a movie project I am doing. At the moment, the audio equipment is in use, but I set my deadline for my film for the end of this week, so I have to ask for a little help.
I currently need two sounds:
- sound of a broom sweeping the ground (maybe some dry grass)
- the sound of a broom intentionally hitting against another broom at a distance two times (this can be repeated as much as you want)..
This is for a short film that will be released to film festivals, and the audio equipment i am using has been pretty good at producing quality sounds, so I need some good quality sounds to fit with the movie.
I really would appreciate any help, if possible.
Thanks
Thanks David...
Sorry I was a bit vague,
I am making a Thai movie in thailand, so the broom has a bamboo shaft... but if you don't have that, a wooden shaft would work, hit together against another wooden or bamboo shaft.
A distance, outdoors of about 20 feet should work, for a better quality sound.. then I will just tone down the volume, as in the film this happens about 30 feet away.
I have heard some samples of pieces of wood being hit together, but none of them are outside from a distance.. I think if someone just hit two shaft-like pieces of wood together, it would work for me. And I'd mention you in the credits if you'd like...
I appreciate the help.
ah, yes...
The witch-style broom will work... sweeping on the grass (as if you be sweeping up trash or dead bits of leaves)..
Thanks again
Files added to the freesound archive. In the mean time you can download them from here:

David these are excellent.. just what I was looking for! Thank you very much for your help!
I would like to add you to the credits of the movie, if you wouldn't mind. Can I ask the name you'd like to go by?
Thanks again!
