Hey guys,
firstly i'm new here, looks like a nice site. So.. recently I decided to give making some dubstep a go. I'm using fruityloops 9, and i'm looking for some good drum samples which can help me, as you may or may not know the sounds which come by default with FruityLoops are kind of lame, especially for the kind of style I'm going for.
I'm looking to make some slow, heavy beats.. just having a hard time finding some good drum sounds which will give me the sound i'm looking for. Any help will be appreciated loads!
Thanks in advance.
Hi MrJoey,
please use the Search Function here in Freesound. I found some Dub Step Drumloops with it very easily, e. g.:
http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=40940
Just click on "Search" (Search/Browse) in the Menu on the left side of this Website and enter "dub step" (without the quotes) in the search-field. (maybe you need to activate "filenames"-search too).
Have Fun with the Sounds and good luck with your Song Composing .
Soundfull Greetings,
Ingo
If you're still looking for some high-quality, royalty-free drums samples, check out my latest drum sample kit for dubstep: http://www.massivedrums.com
I've been a professional drummer for over 15 years, so these beats are tight.
Check them out, let me know what you think. Thanks!
I've been working with dubstep and dance for about a year now and there are two producers I love to pieces for their help and insight into the technical aspects of sound design, equalization and mastery, especially in percussion. These guys are on Youtube and they do great walk-throughs of tweaking drum sounds and they've both put out simple but KILLER sample packs on their pages. ForeKast and ArtFX are go-to producers. Check them out.
