I'm looking for a sample of heavy gears moving for a a film production logo
You might find something here.

My surprisingly popular squeaky wheel may fit the bill ... http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=71702
i found this after reading your post... http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=75332 ... i wasn't looking for it; i just found it... take that and find a couple of solid squeakless parts then pitch them down to your liking.. maybe eq and low-pass filter it a tad.. granulizer? i dunno .. if you don't like the sound try similar techniques on similar samples.. and stuff...
Thanks everyone, close, but I really need something cinematic on the low end, like huge gears/ cogs engaging or starting to move. I think more artificial the better. It's for the moving parts inside of a huge clock on my logo before the title sequence rolls on my film.
I'll play around with what you guys gave me
I played around with one of mine, could do.

Try playing the three "50 percent speed" cogwheel sounds at once (each looped) on the Freesound page above.

I really dig "Cinematic Ticking Clock"
When I get the logo back from the animator I'll share the logo with the sounds for some feedback.... Thanks everyone!
