Trying to find a sample that gives the impression of a large explosion with a rumble afterwards.
The sound will be used along with a "Nuclear Bomb" type weapon in a flash game I am making.
As the game already has more basic and smaller explosions, I've tried to find fairly modest explosion sounds on freesound, so that I've left room for a more impressive explosion sample for use with the nuclear bomb.
The bomb also gives off a shockwave, and I'd like the rumble to give the impression of an echo across the landscape, so not really an echo that gives the impression of being done in a garage or a tin can or something .
However, the rest of the game, along with the fairly speedy effect of the nuclear bomb itself (it's all over and done with in less than a second) means that I don't want a long sample at all. Just a beefy explosion, with a thunderous rumble that fades pretty rapidly.
I know there are a large number of explosions on the freesound database, but most of them come across as to poppy, or aren't intense enough in comparison to the basic explosions I already have within the game. I'm certainly not assuming that I've heard every explosion that the database has to offer, so I'm hoping that somebody knows of a sound I've missed or haven't found yet!
Thanks for any help
Here you go. Just uploaded it:

These bomb sounds get bigger (more like nukes) towards the end ... http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=76150
thanks both for your submissions
I think the best fit is, as Timbre suggested, the last sample at the end of http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=76150
I played with it in an editor to make it fade out a bit quicker, but my audio editting skills end about there!
I'll keep you posted Timbre on the state of the project.
Thanks once again.
