I have recorded my neighbour doing this with a borrowed trombone. Apparently it is called The Sad Trombone.

Benboncan's sad trombone became an unattributed phenomenon at http://sadtrombone.com/. When someone shared that with me, I made a copy of it harmonized in thirds, and then realized it could use two versions for a series of intentionally bad jokes:
