Hi!
I have a request about a recording of a music instrument at high sampling rate (highest as possible, ex. 192kHz ).
I cannot do it myself due to technical issue ( I don't have such equipment! ).
It can be any music instrument or even a speech sound.
For the music instrument it would be really nice to have few single notes and then a chord (if the instrument allows it!).
It should be a plain recording, without any post processing step.
Why do I need this?
I need it for a project I'm working on, it is difficult to summarize it in few lines.
Mainly I need to jump between samples discarding some others; more samples I have more jump choices I can make.
So I really need a signal that has been recorded in this way, not just exported at higher sampling rate.
Thanks a lot!!
Interesting request.
Hopefully someone can help. My recording equipment only goes up to 96,000.
I just ran an 'blank' search (i.e. just pressing the 'magnifying glass' next to the search box with no text on it) - This search returs all indexed sounds currently in the Freesound database.
You can then look on the right side of the page and click on a sample rate to apply that filter.
It is interesting because there are no sounds currently at Freesound at a sample rate higher than 96,000.
However, there are currently 8528 sounds at the 96,000 sample rate. Maybe there are some you can use for your experiments while you wait for higher bitrate sounds to be uploaded.
The fact that there aren't any makes me wonder if they are supported/recognized by Freesound. - I will check on that...
I generated and uploaded a 192kHz sound to test: http://www.freesound.org/people/qubodup/sounds/323630/
You can use the advanced search to search for 96kHz sounds and then just manipulate the URL:
I recorded my crappy guitar playing for you at 192khz. Here is the pack, hopefully it's helpful.
