Hey there!
I'm currently searching for a few short, loop-able, and non-disturbing pieces of music to run in the background for some videos I plan to create with voice over.
I have been searching around here for a little bit. However I couldn't find anything that suited my needs. So now I turn to the creative folk here for a little help.
Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

Thank you for your time.
You probably already know that freesound.org is not really about music loops, so maybe you are just looking for people to volunteer to work on putting together something for your purpose, or perhaps to do some work for hire. I doubt this is the kind of thing you want, but you might not know how to search for it or find it on freesound, so let me just point to the only two things I've ever posted that I think might potentially be of use for this kind of thing:

I'm sure there's better out there -- these were put together using Analog Box 2 circuits that I developed, so the "music" is automatically generated using random numbers and such, and it was the generative aspect of these that make them more in keeping with the freesound charter. People who put together "real" music will laugh at these (as I do, depending on the mood), but freesound isn't really supposed to be for real musical pieces anyway. But in any case, the second one shouldn't interfere with voice frequencies very much, even though the first one is more 'musically interesting', IMHO. Due to the random nature, there are plenty of inter-phrase points where you could loop them, though the second is already a seamless loop. I also still have the circuits that generated these and they could be tweaked, though you can easily put together circuits of your own or start with those made freely available with Analog Box 2 and modify them to get some unusual loops.
Dunno if this helps, but since you weren't getting any bites, I thought I might just offer pointers to what I know about.
Thank you zimbot for your extensive reply!
Yes, I realise that freesound is used more for SFX and not so much for music in general. However I noticed while searching that some users indeed does put up small loop-able tracks and pieces of music.
I suppose my thread is both an invitation for people to make something if they felt like it, or direct me to something that would be fitting.
Searching for music loop : 2496 sounds
Advanced search, restricting to 10 seconds minimum duration : 1128 sounds
5th result:
http://www.freesound.org/people/bebeto/sounds/18974/
which belongs to a pack of 26 loops:

I think at least some of them may fit your needs as bg music behind speech, check them if you haven't yet.
