So I can't find any on here (unless I'm not looking in the right spots), but I need some clear high quality recordings of whale songs for a surround sound project at school. It doesn't even need to be terribly long...like no more than a minute, though it can be longer and I can trim it. Does anyone have any that I can use or know of where I can get some? Searches online just lead me to crappy mp3's or to recordings with music in the background. I'm looking for upwards of 88k/24 bit. Can be lower if it sounds REALLY clean. Absolutely no mp3's though...only wav, aiff, etc. Some water noises are unavoidable, obviously, so that's fine. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!!

You'd need their permission for a "public performance" ... http://macaulaylibrary.org/terms-of-use
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Whales_and_Dolphins_whale_nature_sounds_songs_nueva_esparta.ogg is something I have made use of in the past. It doesn’t meet your sample rate requirements, but it’s clear and in the public domain so no copyright issues.
Hope this helps.
This cd is high quality whale recordings....but not 24 bit of course
