Scattered Sounds Productions will be producing "Closet Monster" by Caith Donovan
for our "Unhinged Worlds" anthology. A few roles are already filled/recorded,
but there are still TONS more roles to audition for so don't be shy! Please
record your lines in mp3 format by January 9th (turned in midnight, central
standard time) and send them on to rachel@...

Lisa: (crying softly - she's terrified) Goodbye, David.
Female, mid-20's/early 30s
*This is her only line so if you read for this role and you are selected, your
audition will be used in the production.

Glug - Male, the henchman to a very evil character. Just play around with it and
have fun with the lines. (All guys give this role a go)
Line 1: Master? Things did not go well with Mrs. Tucker?
Line 2: How is that possible, Master? A woman locked in that emotional profile
would be incapable of facing you. So long as she is alive, you can al...ways...
oh.
Line 3: Master, I have found a promising prospect. A young boy, psychic,
untrained, and already afraid. Combined with what you collected last night, I
think it might be enough.

Victim - any age, any gender. This is the only line so if you read for this role
and you are selected, your audition will be used in the production.
Line: No! Please... please nooooo!

Junkie - any age, any gender. This is the only line so if you read for this role
and you are selected, your audition will be used in the production.
Line: pl... please man... I'll pay you tomorrow... just one hit, man!

Officer - Male, any age.
Line 1: This is the police! Put down your weapons and come out with your hands
up!
Line 2: (Horrified) What?... What did I do?

Rhonda: Female, any age. She's a newswoman covering a very dramatic story.
Line 1: Where's the victim? This is a woman's shelter, right?
Line 2: This is Rhonda Taggart at the scene where it has been reported that city
police officers have attacked a home without a warrant, shooting at least one
person inside - possibly a child. Police have not commented on the identity of
their victim.

Cameraman - Male, Any age. Very interested in what's going on.
Line 1: Those are paramedics. I think it's a kid!
Line 2: We're rolling!

Senator - Male, Mid 30s/late 40s
Line 1: Are you sure, Bogart? You have given me a great opportunity. This moment
is as much yours as it is mine.
Line 2: (Pleased he'll have the spotlight) I will do everything in my power to
bring this information forth.

President - Male, late 30s - 50s. Only line.
This Government, as promised, has maintained the closest surveillance of the
Soviet Military buildup on the island of Cuba. Within the past week,
unmistakable evidence has established...

Teacher - Any gender/20s-60s
The gun is right outside the library door!

Eric - Male, young boy. 10 years old
Line 1: Mom! Don't leave me alone!
Line 2: I won't say anything, I promise. Just don't make me stay here!

Imelda - Female, mid 20/early to late 30s. Eric's mom and very irritated with
him.
Line 1: Eric, don't... just don't be like this. This awards ceremony is
important for your brother and sister and I will not risk you embarrassing them!
I think Dr. Dennis has almost - almost - managed to forget about the last
fiasco.
Line 2:Eric Michael Matson! I have had just about enough of your ridiculous
closet monster! If you put half as much energy into your pleasing us as you do
into your fantasies, you'd at least be presentable in public!
