Hi,

In the main theme of Far Cry 3 I really liked a monotone guitar sound that was going on. Here's the link, it starts as that sound comes in:

try searching for muted guitar in the "search sounds" box, there are at least a few riffs you might cut a single note from that might match your needs, eventually pitched down.

Check all the 3 pages, there are single notes too on page 2 that might be fine.

at 17-18 seconds it sounds like bowed metal to me ...
