Any idea on that?
Do you think that i could find some recordings from other planets? I have heard some things about this "blood beat sound" in other planets and i am really curious to hear something.
It could be anything else, though. Any recording from other parts of the universe.
Thanx a lot.
There's a recording of the Huygens descent into Titan back in 2005 on esa.int. They also have a recording of the radar echo. I suppose it's fully copyrighted though, so you can't really use it, but it's fun to hear. But there are no aliens saying "hello" on the recordings
I've never heard of "blood beat sound" on other planets, if you have any interesting links, I'd like to see
Fortunately NASA makes sure most of their media is public domain... there are a bunch of sounds on their website in the multimedia section... also sheck out these:

Although technically not audio recordings, they are spectrographs translated as sound.
(space has no air)
There were some kind of microphones on some early Mars missions but either the mic didn't work or the probe blew up on launch pad. Recording on other planets is difficult due to the fact of atmospherics, let alone distance and cost.

I made a bunch of space sounds you might be interested in...

I wish they would put a microphone on another planet, most likely all we would hear is muffled or swishy wind noise for the most part, maybe some thermal vents or something... mostly quiet though... damn shame.
COLONIZE PLANETS NOW, stop the traffic congestion!
but, you may try this link also

Yeah, space's got no air =\ Means no audio.
In childhood, I always wanted to know, what would happen if you turned on some audio in open space or put off your spacesuit xD
After listening to some of the links (thanks, by the way) with fresh ears, i was struck with how similar many are - in their processed reallity - to those synthesized over the years in the classic sci-fi movies and radio shows.
sadmacDo you think that i could find some recordings from other planets?
Oh yes, just an example but undoubtedly from other universe:

Thanx everybody for your help.
I just found some sounds in the space audio links you gave me. NASA seems to need a subscription in itunes...
Any other resources please?
Mainly, i would like to listen to some really extreme sonic phenomena, like hurricanes or i don't know what may happen there...
But i would like to figure out something really intense, not necessarily sound-wise, but like a phenomenon.
Solar system and magnetosphere seems to be good for what i want, but i need somehting intense and -no kidding- a phenomenon with an impressive "name".
I might use this for a project and i want it to have "strong and very scientific words". English is not my native language, so for those who speak English fluently, i kindly as you to recommend me something...
Thanks a lot in advance!
Have you seen '2001: A Space Odyssey' Sadmac? That film can't fail to inspire on this topic.
Space has no air, therefore no sound. Supposing it did have air/sound and other factors beneficial to our person however, open space would have no reverberation, apart from that which reflects from your body, nearby asteroids and etc. Assuming there's no asteroids and what not around, perhaps an anechoic environment is comparible in this jibberish.
It would be interesting to hear sounds that were recorded in alternative atmospheric environments. Seems this feller has had a go at it:
ugh the horrendous grammar of the subject line of this thread has forced me to hide the side panel for the first time in... ever... congradulations, guys. :?

Now that's not very english of you :?
Yes, at times flowers sems from another planet himself (no offense)
By the way, asking google about venus+sound I found this oldish (2005, wow!) link:

shortwave radios can receive transmissions from anywhere in the world, even sounds that arent actually transmitted by anybody intentionaly, lots of atmospheric noise and such, although it wouldnt qualify for "other planets recordings" it may be of interest.
also ive read about pulsars and similar astral phenomena, cases in which spectrogram imagery is translated to audible sound.. also a pro: space is big, really really fuckin big, lots of sources of noise.
in some observatories they point enourmous lasers out into space and, using radar, they can pick up actual sounds from all over the universe

Fascinating isn't it. I wonder what an aliens fart would sound like.
