    goodbye Lou Reed

I was saddened to hear that Lou Reed has passed away at the age of 71. I have fond memories of listening to his music and the velvet underground with my dad in the car as a young kid, singing along to lyrics that I didn't fully understand at that age. His music is so different, thought provoking and sometimes a little bit frightening! Every time I listen to one of his albums again I get something more from it.

Even when I was young I found this song extremely moving and it was probably the first song that made me want to learn the guitar.

Yeah, that viola out of tune taught us a threatening dissonance can be beautiful, only a real artist can convey such bitter-sweet feeling.
