Does "SoundEffectsFactory" get paid every time someone looks at one of “his” YouTube videos ? , (a large fraction of which are Freesound samples without attribution). Bear in mind his Youtube channel has had over 4 million hits , ( if he does get paid per view I can see how he can afford to go skiing ).
This is indeed a YouTube partner channel and so he does receive income from adverts shown on his channel. This is why he is scrambling to save the channel I believe.
Didn't think shortened links would be such a problem. I am correcting them all right now. I have said this before and I will say it again: I have never claimed to be the artist for these sounds and not all of them are from freesound. My facebook page is not to tell people that I am the artist it is simply a social media tool where I can give updates on uploads and stuff about myself.
If any artists on here feel they need compensation for what has happened send me a personal message and I will work with you.
Once again im continuing to correct attribution and fix the shortened links that everyone seemed to have a problem with...
I have had it with you.
Why all this crap of the .ly links?
You say you want to count visits / downloads - why do you want to know how many people visited the copyright license on a particular sound? You are not the copyright owner anyway!
You say you never meant for people to take you as the creator of the sounds. You asked for attribution, for God sake!
You don't want to post the link to Freesound visibly beacuse people will know where the sounds came from and will come here instead of to your shitty copymachine channel.
And .ly... of all places!
This just smells like yet another scam.
You are dodgy, mate.
End of story.
For those of you unhappy just make copyright claims at YouTube.
http://www.youtube.com/yt/copyright/copyright-complaint.html
When asked to prove ownership, put in your Freesound link, which will have a priority date before the video posted by TheSoundFactory. A name BTW which also suggests they were making the sounds themselves.
Once they receive enough complaints the channel will be taken down automatically.
SoundEffectsFactory to avoid this, your only real course is to remove all Freesound videos.

Suspect there would be nothing left, then

Here is his excuse...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L85uOzL2xA
This is not an excuse. You are still making money from a channel which was built on deception. Why should you be allowed to profit from this action?
If you do take responsibility as you claim then close the channel.

That is not an excuse, this is my side of the story explaining my actions and taking responsibility. If your that stupid that is not my problem. And you really expect 100's of attributions/donation requests to be changed overnight?

You knew what you were doing building this channel and joining the YouTube Partner Program. When signing that Partner Program contract with YouTube you clearly state that YOU are the copyright owner of all videos and their Audio.
The magnitude of your task only belies the magnitude of your deception. So why don't you close the channel and start it again properly?
In the video you continue this deception by claiming you somehow weren't aware of what was required.
BTW: Attribution — You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor
So even by attributing these files, until you have contacted the authors of each and every one to ask for how they would like to be attributed you are still breaking the terms of the license.

That is what im going to do I think. Delete all the videos and re-upload with correct attribution. There is no way I can correct everything in the timelines everyone is suggesting.
Delete them and don't re-upload them.
Why start it again when those sounds are already available on Freesound in the original format?
Why don't you create your own sounds?

Because he makes money off this YouTube Partner Channel through on-video advertising revenue. This channel is based on copyright theft, fraud and deception. It's cynical and calculated, I see no evidence of a mistake here.
I wonder if he can remove the videos fast enough before the copyright claims already submitted kick in?

Another sound violating attribution:

is actually

Is anyone still counting?
This will be my last response to this thread. I have deleted a big chunk of my videos that had freesounds in them because I will not have enough to time to get to attributing all of them before more copyright reports are filed. The ones still remaining on my channel are from other sources, only a few remain from freesound which I have remembered to be CC0 and/or I have received permission from the artist. Any other remaining freesounds under the attribution licence will be correctly attributed right away and the donation option taken off. If I reupload any sounds I deleted I will be sure to have it correctly attributed before being published. I have done everything I can to solve this issue and im glad it was brought to my attention, despite the fact that many of you were negative towards me in my efforts to correct my mistakes. Instead of closing the channel and starting again I found it easier (due to advice on this thread) just to delete the videos that I will not have enough time to attribute during this and reupload at a later time correctly attributed this time of course. Like I said if any artists still feel that they need compensation, send me a PM.
SoundEffectsFactorydespite the fact that many of you were negative towards me in my efforts to correct my mistakes
Because your actions to:
1. Deceive people into thinking you created the sounds.
2. Fraudulently providing copyright clearance to hapless users (interesting to see what happens when some of your customers get pinged for copyright infringement)
3. Continued (post bust) attempts to obfuscate your deliberate and calculated attempts to maintain a revenue stream from a web of samples you had no right to use.
4. Failure to delete a YouTube channel that is build on a fraud.
The negative reactions are fully legitimate and it's interesting to see Google searches will associate this thread with SoundEffectsFactory over time. It's now the fourth most popular response on a google search for "SoundEffectsFactory"
These were not "mistakes", they are calculated actions designed to make a profit from copyright fraud.
Haha, SoundEffectsFactory has deleted my comments answering how to find the original files on freesound and also blocked me from posting on the page! Now that's willingness to do the right thing...
My heartbeat is gone:

The very first example of infringement of the attribution license in this thread ...

currently does not have proper attribution, just those nasty bit.ly things ...

The downloaded file is called "dramatic bass dun dun dun SoundEffectsFactory.wav"
The wav file does not have any metadata indicating the sound requires attribution.

Don't trust your memory as apparently it is deficient, go through your all of your Freesound attribution list instead ... http://www.freesound.org/people/SoundEffectsFactory/downloaded_sounds
Luffy's record scratch [freesound #3536] still isn't properly attributed either : it currently still has the nasty "bit.ly" links ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPGcpIXeA-4
UPDATE (+2hours): Luffy (and Simon_Lacelle) and now attributed properly ( but only after prompting by moi ).
Thank you guys for this post. I mad up my mind. To stop this hateful use of our sound I decided to change some sounds back in Attribution license.
I made an extra text as description for every sound.
Maybe this is a way to help this kind of people away from abusing our hard work
here is the text for all the types of licenses I use:
