Dare 41 - The beginings of recorded music

There is a program on the internet radio "The Global Voice" which is called "78 decades" and is dedicated to music recorded from the late 1800s to ~1950.

Once I played around with a recording of an old Japanese wax cylinder containing a koto and singing piece.

For dare 41, I am proposing that you take a very old music piece from the program "78 decades" and convert it into something completely different.
You can use other samples and instruments, if you like. But keep these to a minimum. Really the point is to see what you can do with (or from) the old recording.

Here is the link to the program gallery from The Global Voice. Program recordings stay here for a week, before being replaced by the new program.

Just click "78 Decades" and download the last show.

Here some important information about copyright
    http://www.prsformusic.com/aboutus/faqs/copyrightfaqs/pages/default.aspx#8
click "how long does copyright last".

And here, a list of music copyright duration for many countries:
    http://www.prsformusic.com/aboutus/essentialinformation/aboutcopyright/Documents/International%20Copyright%20terms.pdf

As you can see in the list, music copyright often lasts 70 years. So you really want to be picking a music piece that is older than 70 years, meaning dated 1945 or earlier. In fact, the older the better!

    1) Upload submissions to a suitable place (Soundcloud preferred)
    2) Please give attribution to any samples from Freesound and also to the original piece you use.
    3) Post on this thread with a link to your piece.
    4) Deadline: 31st Oct 2015
    5) Keep checking this thread for further news (there might be a surprise!). If we have enough entries we will select a winner.

    I want to believe.

Well dare 41 didn't really took off, did it?

Looks like I am the only one working on this. The deadline is gone and I am still kind of working on it.
Here is where I got so far:

Very cool cajo. Thanks for participating in the dare.
Does anyone want to take it a step further an integrate/transfor cajo's loop into something else?

By the way, I have been listening to the 78 decades program and there are a lot of interesting sounds being played there. Sometimes these old musics have unusual grooves, the jazz style riffs (on piano or brass) can be unbelievably complex and unnusual, and the old recordings themselves can add interesting texture.
Most of those recordings are now so old that copyright has expired and they are public domain.

    I want to believe.

    thanks AlienXXX!
this loop is only a starting element of my work for this dare / I hope to finish it someday...
About copyright: I'm not able to find the title of this piece, but the musical style is so old it should be out of copyright boundaries.
And yes, there are some beautiful riffs into 78 Decades playlist: intricate structures, hard to cut and remix, it's a real dare.
