OK, let me break it to you: this dare is a compulsory collab (meaning, all entries must be collabs).
Your challenge is to pick a partner (preferably someone you have not worked with before) and have an online collab. You are asked to communicate (as much as possible) only through music/sound. Use as few words as possible.
Perhaps the best starting point is to email them a link to this dare - so they do not think you are (completely) crazy.
It is OK to cheat a bit and put BPM and keys on the filenames.
So, say you create a beat and email it to your partner. You could call the file "Drums_130_BPM.wav"
That is fine.
But you are not allowed to say "would you like to make a bassline to go with this?" No, no, no, no....
Just send them the file...
It may be that your partner decides to send you back a mashed up version of your beat, instead... - see if you can carry on from there...
Also, maybe you want to add file numbers, or versions to your filenames. - I think that would be a great idea.
Assembling the piece without any word exchanges might be very complicated. Since you cannot tell your partner when you send them a file "this is the part that goes at bar 23." - (or maybe you can?... what's in a filename?...)
Maybe the best thing is to exchange little sections and work on assembling 2 separate 'master pieces' (one on each partner's computer).
Try it. See what works.
Please do not allow yourself or your partner to become frustrated. This is for FUN. So don't spoil the fun: if you have to exchange some text with your partner to get the piece where it needs to be, don't exitate: do it!
See how far you can go without words, communicating only with sounds and music. - But if you need to break this rule to keep the fun and the piece going, please do it.
For this dare you can use whatever you want, as long as it does not involve breaching any copyrights.
More than one entry allowed.
Entries are made by uploading the piece to a suitable music site (Soundcloud is the typical choice) and posting a link on this thread.
Lenght limit on pieces: 5 min
DEADLINE: There isn't one! Do it anytime, all the time, when you are ready! Find a partner and make some music. It's fun!
Please keep this thread for the submissions only. For questions or to advertise/look for collab partners use the discussion thread:

ciao everybody,
congratulations for these two pieces, both really interesting and well done, tuned up and flowing!
I discovered this dare only now... what about +1 month?
(but, in case, I have to find a partner first)
no problem anyway

Hi Cajo,
Welcome back on Freesound...
You seem to have accomlished my ultimate goal... you got the deadline exdended into eternity...
You really are a master... I salut you!
Hope you can find a partner.. very interested what will come out.
AlienXXX really hit the nail on the head with this one... this is a very fun dare.
Maybe if you really cant find anybody I would like to go a second time.
Dont know if that would be allowed??
yes this is weird: from extremely narrow and severe rules to no rules and no deadline...
don't know if this anarchy comes from the Alien or from the XXX... but it sounds fine
Marius I'm ready, let's play!
I already begun to pedal under the desk
have fun
