I wonder why clicking on "find similar sounds" at one of my samples
http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=11731
does not bring up the other ones of that pack
(f.e. http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=11759)
allthough they got exactly the same tags! Shouldn't samples with similar Tags show up??
Greetings
Connum
The tech used to create the similarity search is quite complex. But bram knows a lot more about that ofcourse. Its called Audioclas (http://audioclas.iua.upf.edu/documents.shtml) and was developed by the university that developed this site and funds it too. (http://www.iua.upf.es/mtg/)

similar sounds uses algorithms to figure out if two sounds sound alike...
got nothing to dow tih tags or descriptions- bram
@Bram,
Audioclas website seems defunct now. Is the code used by freesound opensource?
Edit: Found another webpage describing the project http://www.mtg.upf.edu/projects/audioclas
Actually, Audioclas has been replaced a long time ago by this awesome stuff:
