Normally I am listening to the beginning of a sound, and not all say 50 seconds. Then I click the next one - and the first clicked one is still playing.
Please add some js/jquery to stop all playing sounds on the page as soon as a new sound field is clicked.
That is quite easy to implement, and helps the usability a lot (!)
Thx mates! (great site)
No, please don't. It is a wonderful feature to be able to have multiple sounds playing, layered on top of each other. If you stopped a previous playing sound automatically, then this would not be possible. Instead, all the user needs to do is simply press the pause control on the previously-playing sound if it should be stopped. Now admittedly, an "exclusive play" control in addition to the others might then avoid having to scroll back to find whatever is playing, but that isn't worth the trouble and would be hard for anyone to guess what its function was intended to be.
Although I most often use previews the way q2apro does, one at a time, I agree with zimbot.
If one wants to stop a sound playing without scrolling back to find it, simply hit the "page refresh" icon up in the address bar and the sound will stop. I use firefox, but I'm sure it's the same in all browsers.
