When I reply to a message in the new version of FS, I am finding the 'please prove you are not a robot' verification quite tedious. Does anyone else feel the same way? and is this process absolutely necessary each and every time? Could it be possible to reduce it to every 5th time or something like that, or only for users that mail more than a few times a day etc? Also I dont think i am a complete muppet, but the words are often difficult to make out and it can take two or three goes to get it right. I almost want to return to the classic view just because of this annoying time wasting.
It is necessary. Thanks to the spammers. We have to live with it. Now I can easily scan the forum and find your mail....
Yes, it's necessary but... there are captchas and captchas. I find this kind particularly unpleasant. Obnoxious, indeed
EDIT: sorry guys, I have one of these criticism-prone days
MAby a kind of 'white-listing' would be a good idea indeed.....
Or easier / more readable way!
Hey guys,
we know... In the future we will test if num_sounds_uploaded is > 0 and if it is, don't show you a captcha

It's ok, I can now read the wretched captchas. Got new presbyopia lenses
Well for me with just 10% sight on one eye the captchas is a problem. There is a solution that I use though. Take a screenshot of the captcha, paste it into Gimp, and resize the captchas so I can read them with not so much strain on my eye.
there's got to be a way around this for 'verified' users perhaps?

Your browser should zoom-in (enlarge display) if you repeatedly press "Ctrl" and "+",(use "Ctrl" and "-" to zoom out).
If you use Windows there is a free zoom program called "zoom-it" which will enlarge whatever is on the screen , (not limited to browser)...
