I would would love to see, that if I click on a user, I also get a link to his/hers Freesound.org profile outside of the forum so that I can easily see their contributions.

Okay, I did oversee it (I possibly couldn't imagine the function did really lack):
The small freesound logo underneath the username is the link to the sounds profile of that user!

I didn't catch on to that right away either, it sort of looked just like a decoration to me. I understand it now but I think a speaker icon would communicate "listen to this person['s sounds]" more intuitively.
