sometimes, when people do the field recordingds - they also shot photos. would be nice to make possible to add them. now - regarding image adding, there should be some regulations (should it be photos or all kind of images? how many per sample? copyrighted by user only, moderated with sound uploads, and so on and so forth), but I see two interesting expansion directions.

1) small photos (automatically resized and recompressed by system) - which add the taste (and some context) to uploaded field recordings.

2) big photos, with the CC licence for further use by downloaders. making coverarts, wallpapers, brochures and so on.

thumbnails could be loaded automatically with samplepage or onClick.

just an idea.

I like the idea. It'd help to identify sound clips better. Photos should be licensed under CC-BY or CC-BY-SA.

Well, it's a workaround, not the solution: the picture is not shown on the page, and the link is not even working, you have to copy+paste it manually (or may be use some Javascript browser trick). Also, links to external websites may become broken in the future.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the new version of Freesound (should it ever become a reality) was possibly going to have some sort of image integration. Is that vague enough?
