navigating between samples - I'd like to have the possibility to add artists to my favourite list, directly accessible on left menu. after months - I don't remember who is who, or what was the name of someone, who made something (I don't remember the title) nice. (-;
such lists could be public, does not matter for me.
Hi ayamahambho.
The easiest way to do this is in your own computer. When you find a artist or sound you like, add the page to your browsers "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" list. You can even create a folder to keep all your freesound links together for easy searching.
Wibby.
I work on many computers.
I don't spend time to organize bookmarks, and usually forget about them (lack of habits there).
I prefer to have "personalized favourites" so to speak, on websites that I'm registered to. Context of information. Besides I can reinstall my system, but if I forget to make some backups - I will not loose such data.
Also - adding favourites to such website like fresound - opens new networking possibilities for registered users. For example the if downloaders can have favourites list, then uploaders would have fan list. What is important today, is the quick access to various informations.
Warmly,
J.K.Chris
I think it would be very helpful if it was possible to just favorite specific samples. Like right now I'm looking for a good wind sound for a play, and would love to be able to group the ones that I've chosen to try so far in a single list so that I can quickly compare them. A favorites list would also allow me to search for sounds on one system and easily find them again on another.
kind of late.. but still very much needed!
i would love a favorites list, be it for artists (the networking thought is very valuable!) but most definitely for samples!
i'm in the same position here, trying to group sounds for a project, but working in different editing rooms connected to the same data server. and sometimes on my macbookpro. so wish i could just make various lists and share them with my sound designer for example, or the composer.. whatever.
since freesound has been modernizing the whole project over the last few years i would love to see this improvement coming along soon. shouldn't be too complex to integrate into the site, and would at least to me be a game-changer.
FREESOUND HEAR US!
thankyou.
